Biography

I am a software developer which a passion for sustainability and environmental issues. With a background in Natural Language Processing, search systems, web crawling and big data processing, I use my technical skills on green software related projects. I have expertise in open source software and have contributed or created numerous projects over the years, notably as a member of the Apache Software Foundation and Boavizta. I also regularly speak at conferences, review books and articles and give presentations at meetups. I am based in Bristol, UK and am a keen furniture maker and musician outside work.
